To make a long story short. The data logger is is designed to be used with your laptop computer. We can not have our laptop inside our racecars so the use of the Black box SD logger is needed. The Blackbox SD logger has a memory chip that records 100's of hours of data. All you have to do is pull out the memory chip and install it into your laptop to view all your recorded data. The Alarm and Trigger is used to warn you of any settings that is exceeded past your installed settings and you can operate an additional item or relay. example shut off engine when water temperature exceeds a certain temperature.
